Well above normal temperatures will continue through Thursday before a strong cold front moves through on Friday. Some storms will be possible as this front moves through, however severe weather is not expected at this time. Much cooler air will settle south across the region this weekend, setting the stage for a region-wide hard freeze Sunday morning. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. Breezy, with a south wind 14 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Friday: A chance of showers before noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 57. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
