Home sales in our area were about 8% higher last year than the year before, with the highest annual total in at least six years.

According to the St. Joseph Regional Association of Realtors, there were 1,476 residential units sold in their region last year, up nearly 5% from the 1,409 homes sold the year before. Sales totals for the year were over $187 million dollars, a nearly 9% increase over 2015 totals.

Sales in December totaled $14.2 million, an increase of 3.6% over the figures from December of 2015.
