You still have one more day to file as a candidate for mayor or alderman in Savannah.

So far, just two candidates have filed to run for mayor in advance of Tuesday’s deadline. They are John Parker and Don Dillman. Each is currently serving as Alderman in the city’s East Ward.

It appears that the current mayor is about to trade jobs with one of the two men. So far, the only candidate to file for East Ward Alderman is Mayor Connie George.

The deadline to file as a candidate in the April municipal election is the close of business Tuesday, January 17.
