Areas of fog with warmer temperatures this morning

weather 2 logoSome areas of fog have cropped up across the region again early this morning, though with temperatures above freezing, icing on bridges and roads should not be an issue this morning. Otherwise, a moderate warming trend will continue this week as temperatures continue to climb through a range more typical of March than January. There is a chance for some rain across the southern and eastern parts of Missouri today, but areas back across west central and northwest Missouri will be dry through the weekend. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service: 

Today: A slight chance of rain after 5 p.m. Widespread fog, mainly before 11 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 47. Southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: A slight chance of rain before midnight. Areas of fog after midnight. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 38. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday: A slight chance of rain. Areas of fog before noon. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 52. East southeast wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. East southeast wind 6 to 8 mph becoming south southwest after midnight.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 54. South southwest wind 5 to 7 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 33.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 46.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 29.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 46.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31.

Tuesday: A chance of rain, snow, and sleet. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40.
