Red Flag Warning continues due to warm dry conditions

weather-3-8Warm and dry conditions will be the rule today with highs in the mid 60s to near 70. However, these warm conditions coupled with breezy southwesterly winds will lead to another day of very high fire danger. A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. Expect another warm day Thursday with highs mid 60s to lower 70s however, much colder temperatures will come in for the weekend with a chance of winter precipitation Friday night into Saturday. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 68. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 13 to 18 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 26 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 40. South southwest wind 5 to 9 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. South wind 6 to 8 mph becoming north in the afternoon.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 31. North northeast wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 44. North northeast wind 10 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Friday Night: Snow likely after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Saturday: Snow before 4 p.m., then a chance of rain. High near 36. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 46.

Sunday Night: A chance of snow before 3 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m., then a chance of snow after 4 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Monday: A chance of rain and snow. Partly sunny, with a high near 46. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 48.
