A 19-year-old St. Joseph woman faces a lengthy prison term after she pleaded guilty on Monday to robbing a cell phone store in January.
Shania Harness, who is pregnant, pleaded guilty to one class a felony count of first-degree robbery. The charge carries a range of punishment of from 10 to 30 years or life behind bars.
Harness admitted to Circuit Judge Patrick Robb that she and co-defendant Isaiah Williams, the father of her child, robbed a Metro PCS cell-phone store at gunpoint.
The pair were arrested about an hour later with two cash drawers and $680 in cash from the store.
Judge Robb accepted the guilty plea and scheduled sentencing for April 26.
Williams is scheduled for a trial setting Mar. 16.
