A Bethany woman was seriously injured in a one vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 71-year-old Sharon K. Johnson was driving a 1997 Dodge Ram truck north on West 205th Avenue just south of Bethany around 4:10 p.m., when the vehicle skidded off the east side of the road. Johnson overcorrected, the vehicle returned to the road, began to skid on the gravel and went off the east side of the road and overturned.

Johnson was taken by ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. According to the crash report, she was not wearing a seatbelt.
