A 2-year-old was killed after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday in Worth County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, around 10:55 a.m. a vehicle was southbound on a private drive about three miles north of Grant City. The patrol said 2-year-old Lane McDonald was running along the passenger side of the vehicle driven by Danelle Head, 32 when the child tripped and fell.  The vehicle continued southbound, running over the child. McDonald was pronounced deceased at the Grant City Clinic at 11:23 a.m.
