St. Joseph, Mo. — The St. Joseph Mustangs kickoff their 9th season at Phil Welch Stadium in lieu of Opening Day with the 3rd annual Mustangs Fan Fest celebration Tuesday, May 30th at the East Hills Shopping Center from 5:30-7:30pm.

The first half hour will feature a live press conference with local media. Additionally, guests in attendance will be provided the opportunity to ask Mustangs front office, coaches, and players questions as well.

The entire Mustangs 2017 roster will also be on hand for the duration of the event, signing autographs .Guests in attendance will also receive a free 2017 schedule poster giveaway.

For musically inclined fans, National Anthem auditions will be taking place at Mustangs Fan Fest. Fans of all ages are invited to participate, for the opportunity to sing before a 2017 Mustangs baseball game.

This event is free, and will also feature prize giveaways, an appearance from Rally, and a first look at new Mustangs merchandise.

“This is our players first chance to interact with our fans. It’s a great chance to put a face with a name before they put the Mustangs helmet on for the first time,” Mustangs General Manager Ky Turner said. “Our players really enjoying meeting members of the community, and getting to know them too. Whether you want to sit and listen to the press conference, or move around, playing games and meeting our players, there is something for everyone to do.”

The Mustangs will begin their search for a fifth MINK League Championship in seven years. Coming off a 27-15 record and a playoff appearance in 2016, they will kick off the ninth season in franchise history on May 31 against the Midwest A’s.
