The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a case of financial exploitation of funds belonging to a woman diagnosed with dementia.
Susan Mobley of Utica is charged in Livingston County with a felony of receiving stolen property.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release, that an investigation into the possible financial exploitation/stealing began April 18 which resulted in Mobley’s arrest.
According to court documents, while having durable power of attorney Mobley is accused of stealing nearly $11,000 from a bank CD of a woman who had been diagnosed with dementia.
Mobley is currently out on $10,000 cash bail. An arraignment is scheduled for May, 25.
