
You may have seen the helicopter buzzing the tree tops across Midtown, Uptown and northwestern St. Joseph Monday morning.
The chopper made several swooping turns throughout the area.
This was an effort at pipeline safety enforcement.
Abe Forney, the Airport Manager at Rosecrans Memorial Airport says the aircraft routinely takes to the skies whenever there appears to be any kind of excavation or other digging around utility pipelines in town.
In this case, none was found. No incidents or arrests were reported.
