SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Missouri Western women’s golf team shot a 308 in the opening round of the NCAA Central Super Regional and they are in first place in the team standings after day one in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at Minnehaha Country Club.
Shi Qing Ong led the Griffons with a 4-over-par 75 and is tied for third place. Chong Yong and Madison Romjue both trailed Ong by a stroke in the round and are tied for ninth. Tiffanie Yabut scored an 81 as Jenna Kosmatka carded an 82 for the day.
MWSU leads Arkansas Tech by one stroke as Central Oklahoma’s Anna Pool and Savannah Stone from Concordia-St. Paul lead the individual field with a 74. The Griffons begin round two Tuesday at 8:50 a.m.
