Bank cashier indicted for embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars

A southeastern Kansas woman is charged in a federal indictment with embezzling more than $200,000 from the bank where she worked.

U.S. Attorney Tom Beall said Debra J. Nading, 59, Oswego, Kan., was charged with one count of embezzlement by a bank employee. Nading worked at Labette Bank as an assistant cashier.

The indictment alleges she stole approximately $213,173. If convicted, she faces up to 30 years in federal prison and a fine up to $1 million.
