Additional arrests made in Saline County homicide investigation

SALINA (News release) – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI), the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, and the Salina Police Department have made additional arrests connected to the homicide of Brandon Shelby.

James Pavey, age 40, of Salina, was arrested Wednesday morning and booked into the Saline County Jail. He had previously been held on a warrant. Pavey was booked for first degree murder.

At approximately 11 p.m. Wednesday night, Brandon St. Clair, age 34, of Salina, was also booked into the Saline County Jail. St. Clair was arrested for first degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery and other drug charges not related to the homicide investigation.

Rodgers, Pavey and St. Clair are currently awaiting first court appearances. This investigation is ongoing. The Saline County Attorney’s Office is expected to prosecute the case.
