Dry weather today will give way to a long stretch of unsettled weather starting early Wednesday morning. Several rounds of showers and storms are expected through Friday, with severe storms possible both Wednesday afternoon and again on Thursday. In addition, heavy rain will also be a concern, especially across far northern Missouri. Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87. Breezy, with a south wind 16 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
