Four people were injured, three seriously, in a one vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Clinton County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 30-year-old Stephanie A. Klegseth of Excelsior Springs was driving a Ford Escort south on US 69 about six miles south of Cameron around 3:40 p.m when the vehicle traveled off the east side of the road. Klegseth overcorrected the vehicle, traveled off the west side, overcorrected again, traveled off the east side, down an embankment, hit a ditch and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its top.
According to the crash report, Klegseth was seriously injured and transported to Truman Medical Center. Two passengers, ages five and eight, were transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. A two-year-old passenger was transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital with moderate injuries.
All occupants were wearing seatbelts.
