Victor L. “Beak” Fee
1958-2017


White Cloud, KS—Victor Leonard “Beak” Fee, 58, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 13, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with leukemia, surrounded by his loving family at home.

He was born on October 24, 1958 to Dwight and Shirley Fee in Falls City, Nebraska. He was the oldest of four boys. He attended elementary school in White Cloud and then at Highland. He graduated from Highland High School in 1976. After high school he worked for Harness Fur Company and then for White Cloud Grain for many years. He graduated from the police academy and then worked for the Iowa Tribe Police Department. He worked for several years for Casino White Cloud as head of security.

Victor was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and running coyote dogs and fox hounds. He was a member of the Northeast Kansas and Southeast Nebraska Fox Hunter Association. He was a member of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, Jordan Fee. He is survived by his daughters: Stacey(Brian) Dumbauld, Escondido, CA; Stephanie(Jason) Davis, White Cloud; Christina Norton, Falls City, and one son Trevor Fee, Falls City; three brothers: Randy(Debbie) Fee, Hiawatha; William Fee, White Cloud; Wesley Fee, Rulo; four grandchildren: Kailey and Christian Davis; Tyler and Sydney Dumbauld.

A Celebration of Victor’s life will be held at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha at 10:30am on Tuesday July 18th. Pastor Tom Stone, of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of Horton, will officiate. Interment will follow at the Partlow Cemetery on the Iowa Reservation, near White Cloud.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6pm-8pm on Monday July 17th.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Victor Fee Memorial Fund which may be sent in care of the funeral home, 124 S 7th St, Hiawatha 66434.

Beverly Ann Swoboda
1936-2017


Beverly Ann Swoboda 80, of Wathena, KS passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at her home in Wathena, KS. She was born September 12, 1936 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of the late Opal and George Herren. She graduated from Benton High School. She worked at the United Department Store in downtown St. Joseph, then Whitaker Cable for 12 years, then Heartland Hospital in the Dietary Department. She was a former member of St. James Catholic Church. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Joyce Hook. Survivors include husband, Eugene Swoboda of the home, daughters, Jeanan Marie (Ken) Sherlock, Dearborn, MO, Rhonda (Bruce) Felt, St. Joseph, MO, son, Curt (Tammy) Swoboda, Wathena, KS, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and her sister, Barbara Ballard, Wichita, KS.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Horigan Chapel, Father Luis Felipe Suarez Celebrant. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Thomas Lewandowski
1949-2017


Thomas (Pollock) Lewandowski 68, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at his home in Saint Joseph, MO. He was born March 24, 1949 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Mary and Paul Lewandowski. He attended Christian Brothers High School. He married Robin Carroz on July 7, 1984, in St. Joseph, MO. He was an Army Veteran. He was a truck driver, and worked for Johnson Controls for 35 years. He enjoyed listening to music, mowing the yard, spending time with his family, and especially his grandchildren. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include, wife, Robin Lewandowski of the home, his children, Tom (Sandy) Lewandowski, Roger Lewandowski, Heather Dunn and Brad Lewandowski all of St. Joseph, MO, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Tuesday, Rupp Funeral Home, Pastor Jim Barnett officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM Tuesday, Rupp Funeral Home. Interment; Mount Olivet Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the American Diabetes Association or The American Heart Association.

William “Bill” Roy Waller
1935-2017


William “Bill” Roy Waller 81, of Faucett, Missouri passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care Hospital. He was born December 12, 1935 in Faucett, MO, son of the late Marthe and Francis Waller. He graduated from Faucett High School, and University of Missouri Columbia, College of Agriculture with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. He spent a year in Paraguay, South American with the International Farm Youth Exchange Agriculture Research Program. He was a life long farmer, who enjoyed hunting, playing cards, boating, traveling with his family, and going out with his Friday night group. He was an active member of the Faucett Christian Church. Bill was preceded in death by wife, Carolyn Lee Waller on March 29, 2017, and his parents. Survivors include, four children: Jennifer L. (Danial) Lassiter, Lubbock, TX, Kevin R. (Cynthia) Waller, Bunceton, MO, Gwenlyn K. (William) Funk, Faucett, MO, and Douglas (Robin) Waller, Faucett, MO, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Rupp Funeral Home with Taylor Lassiter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Union Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Faucett Christian Church.

Wesley Eugene Osborn
1955-2017


Wesley Eugene Osborn, born May 27, 1955 passed away peacefully on July 13, 2017 in Overland Park, KS. Wes was raised on a farm in Union Star, MO by Twila and Merlin Osborn with his brothers, David, Roger and Gary. He graduated in Union Star, class of 1973.
Wes loved having fun and spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed cooking and entertaining. He was a lifelong sports fan and loved the Royals and Chiefs. After high school, he played baseball for a St. Joseph semi-pro team, and he was an avid golfer. He was a talented woodworker and was always willing to help others. He was a fantastic salesman and worked in sales for over 30 years. Wes was preceded in death by his father, Merlin Osborn. He is survived by his mother, Twila Osborn, siblings, Gary (Dixie) Osborn, David (Marsha) Osborn, Roger (Linda) Osborn, children, Jason (Jennifer) Osborn, Crissy (Chris) Liggett, Jake (Julia) Bayes, Jacqueline Osborn (Ben Hamill), and 6 grandsons: Joey, Tristyn, Jonas, Jacoby, Jackson and Fynnigan. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, July 20th 2017 at 6:00 pm at Rupp Funeral Home in St. Joseph, MO. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 pm. The family requests donations for the Wesley Osborn Memorial Fund, in care of Rupp Funeral Home.

Gina Marie Knoth
1976-2017


Gina Marie Knoth 41, of Bolckow, Missouri passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at her home. She was born July 11, 1976 in Shakopee, MN, daughter of Lori and Elmer Frey. She graduated from Christian Life High School, and attended technical school for early childhood development, She was a Homemaker, who enjoyed color drawings, spending time with her girls, and taking care of her grand baby. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Survivors include, husband, Ray Eugene Knoth of the home, her parents, Elmer and Lori Frey, Lakeville, MN, daughters, Kahlie (TJ) Rice, Saint Joseph, MO, Alesha and Emma Knoth of the home, brother, Lance (Katy) Frey, Elko, MN, sister, Rhonda (Dallas) Rynning, Apple Valley, MN, brother in law, Jeff Lord, and grandson, Zaiden.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Rupp Funeral Home with Pastor David Page officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home.

Betty June Ball
1931-2017


Betty June Ball 86, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care Hospital. She was born June 6, 1931 in St. Joseph, Missouri. She attended Elwood High School. Betty was the Owner Operator and founder of Betty’s Cafe in 1988. She loved to cook, and make people happy. She was famous for her pies, and her gravy recipe. She loved her dog Lucy. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Warren Ball, father, Willard Paden, mother, Mildred Elizabeth Akins, sons, Gary and Ron Droz, and her sister, Linda Smith. She is survived by daughters, Pat Peek, St. Joseph, MO, Debra Vaughn, Cameron, MO, and Brenda (Doug) Clapper, Grove, OK, sons, Vic (Ginni) Droz, Tacoma, Washington State, and Mike Droz, St. Joseph, MO, 12 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, brother, Butch (Eileen) Paden, Mississippi, sisters, Shirley Gregg, Olathe, KS, Coralynn Smith, Maysville, MO, and Beverly Moore, St. Joseph, MO. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. She will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.
