Two people were hurt, one of them seriously, in a crash northwest of Hamilton, Missouri in Caldwell County Friday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol repoted the crash at Caldwell Road & JC Penney Drive at 7:35 am Friday. According to the patrol’s crash report, a For Fusion crossed Caldwell Road and hit the rear of a pickup truck.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

The occupants of the Ford was identified as Nikita Powell, 18, of Milan, Mo., the driver, and his passenger Justice Burton, 21, of Hamilton. Burton suffered what were described as serious injuries. Powell’s injuries were described as moderate.

Both were transported to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment.
