St. Joseph rallies to defeat Sedalia in regular season fianle

The St. Joseph Mustangs closed out their regular season Monday night as they rallied for a win at Sedalia 6-5.

St. Joe’s collegiate summer baseball team improves to 34-13 and they finish 28-12 in the MINK League. The Mustangs are off until Thursday when they host either Sedalia or Clarinda in the divisional round of the MINK League playoffs.

St. Joseph trailed 5-2 after five innings at Sedalia Monday, but the Mustangs rallied with one run in the eighth and they scored three in the ninth inning to take their first lead.

Brody Santilli led St. Joe with three hits, while Joshua Lincoln had two. Drew Standier had 2 RBI and Brad Anderson and Michael Foley Mike

Jonathan Lynch earned the win in relief, while Matt Diaz started and went seven innings. He allowed 4 hits and Jake Purl socred for St. Joseph.

The Mustangs playoff game Thursday will be at 7:00 p.m. inside Phi Welch Stadium. The game will be broadcast on 680 KFEQ.
