St. Joseph Police are investigating after a man suffered an apparent gunshot wound early Tuesday morning.

According to Sgt. Brett Kelley with the police department, a call came in around 1:20 a.m. reporting five to six shots fire in the area of 17th and Faraon. Officers responded and found a man in his mid-20s with an apparent gunshot wound to his upper left leg. He was transported to Mosaic Life Care with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

Sgt. Kelley said there are no suspects at this time.
