Due to a high number of pets in the St. Joseph Animal Shelter a special on adoptions is being held this weekend.

According to a news release, the Friends of the Animal Shelter of St. Joseph, LLC, is holding an event which offers a reduction in adoption fees for dogs and cats adopted this Friday and Saturday, August 11th and 12th. Special pricing of $20.17 is the cost to adopt any dog or cat this weekend only.

Some of the animals available for adoption are temporarily on display at Petsmart, 4226 N Belt Hwy, or at Petco, 5201 N. Belt Hwy. The majority of the dogs and cats are located at the shelter, 701 Lower Lake Road, and shelter hours are 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Friends of the Animal Shelter of St. Joseph, LLC’s, Facebook page has photos of available animals, as does the animal shelter web page, where the location of the animal is also listed so you can meet them
in person before adopting
