A 17-year-old Cameron girl was injured in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday in DeKalb County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 16-year-old Mason P. O’Brien of Cameron was driving a vehicle south on Route EE about two miles north of Cameron shortly before 4 p.m. when the vehicle went off of the road. The patrol said O’Brien’s vehicle hit a Chevron sign and returned to the road.

A passenger in the vehicle, 17-year-old Mileena R. O’Brien was taken by ambulance to Cameron Hospital for treatment of what was described as a serious injury. She was reported to be wearing a seat belt.

No injuries were reported for the driver.
