Temps reaching upper 80s through the week

Warm temperatures and tranquil weather can be expected to close out the workweek. Look for scattered thunderstorms to make a return for the weekend, although severe weather is not expected. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 87. Light and variable wind.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 62. South wind 3 to 5 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 88. Light south wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 64. South southeast wind 6 to 8 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Breezy, with a south wind 6 to 11 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Friday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 88.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 82. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 65.

Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
