The Salvation Army in St. Joseph is asking for coat donations ti distribute to those in need.
According to a news release, throughout the month of October the agency will be collected gently used coats to give to the disadvantaged in the community this winter season. The Salvation Army said coats of all sizes are needed, especially children’s sizes.
The agency said the coats must be clean and ready to wear. They ask that you donate coats that don’t need buttons sewed on or repaired and that they have working zippers. Gloves, mittens and hats are also needed. Winter items can be dropped off at The Salvation Army Corps Community Center 7th and Messanie, St, Joseph, MO. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The warm clothing will be distributed Saturday, November 4th at The Salvation Army Corps Community Center from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
