MIAA Football Offensive Athlete of the Week
Braxton Marstall QB, Emporia State University

Marstall, a junior from Emporia, became the first Hornet in history and the first player in the country this year to have three games with at least 420 yards passing as the Hornets defeated Lindenwood 41-30. Marstall went 36 of 61 for 421 yards and three touchdowns while throwing his first interception of the season. He also added 50 yards rushing on nine carries. He opened the game with a 72 yard pass to Louis Dailey on the first play from scrimmage and then capped the drive with a one yard pass to Denzel Strong. He also had TD passes of five yards to Justin Brown and 11 yards to Kai Callins. Marstall now sits fourth on the Hornets career passing list and third in career total offense at Emporia State.

MIAA Football Defensive Athlete of the Week
Stephan Robinson, DB, University of Central Oklahoma

Robinson, a junior from Oklahoma City, Okla., played out of position at safety on Saturday but still recorded two tackles along with two break-ups and a 98-yard interception return for a touchdown in the Bronchos 27-13 win over Nebraska-Kearney.

MIAA Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week
Brandon Brown, K, Fort Hays State University

Brown, a senior from San Ramon, Calif., converted 3-of-4 field goal attempts in a 37-20 win over Washburn. He made attempts from 29, 30, and 47 yards, and converted all four of his extra-point attempts to remain a perfect 31-of-31 on the season in that category. His 30-yard field goal was the most crucial, converting through the teeth of a strong north wind to tie the game 20-20 late in the third quarter.
