A Ridgeway man died in a crash Friday afternoon in Harrison County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 2:40 p.m., 65-year-old Mike A. Sherer was driving a Dodge Ram 2500 north on East 312 Lane about nine miles east of Bethany. Sherer’s vehicle went off the east side of the road and hit a fence and a tree. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames.

Sherer was pronounced dead at the scene by Harrison County Coroner Zach Wilson at 3:31 p.m.
