St. Joseph police have released the name of the woman who was killed in a fire last week.

Capt. Jeff Wilson with the police department said 59-year-old Barbara A. Walker who lived in the house was killed in the fire.

As previously reported, the fire at 709 East Highland Avenue was reported at 7:40 p.m. Dec. 19. Another resident of the house was at work at the time of the fire.

Wilson said the Detective Division is not investigating anything suspicious regarding the fire.
