Two St. Louis residents injured in Atchison County crash

Two people from St. Louis were injured in a crash in Atchison County Tuesday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 8:12 p.m., 45-year-old Darvon C. Wright was driving a Mazda 3 north on I-29 when he lost control of the vehicle about two miles north of Watson. The vehicle went off the left side of the road into the snow-covered median and overturned several times before coming to rest on its wheels.

The driver was transported to George C. Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg, Iowa, for treatment of moderate injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, 46-year-old Arneatha M. Wright was transported to the same hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

According to the crash report, both occupants were wearing seatbelts.
