GREENE COUNTY — One person died in an accident just before 9:30p.m. Wednesday in Greene County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a Mongoose Excursion Pedal Cycle driven by Jesse A. Andrews, 30, Springfield, was northbound on U.S. 160 one mile south of Springfield. A 2010 GMC Acadia driven by Billy F. Vansickel, 64, Highlandville, hit the bicycle.

Andrews was transported to Cox South Hospital where he died. Vansickel was not injured. Authorities released no additional details early Thursday.
