TROY, Mo. (AP) – The pilot of a small plane has escaped with only an arm injury after a crash in eastern Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the plane went down Thursday afternoon about seven miles southwest of Troy in Lincoln County. The pilot was the only person on the plane and was taken to a hospital with a possible broken arm.

Authorities aren’t sure what caused the crash. The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate.

The pilot’s name has not been released.
