NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. – A child died in an accident just after 7:30p.m. Saturday in Newton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Polaris Razor driven by Bailey C. Moore, 7, Granby, was southbound in a yard on private property near Route E four miles east of Diamond.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle while making a left turn. An emergency medical helicopter transported Moore to Children’s Mercy Hospital.

He was pronounced dead on Sunday. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the MSHP.
