Gusty northwest winds will pick up through the day. Winds will be 20 to 30 mph, with gusts in the 40 to 50 mph range. Given the dry grass and foliage across the area the strong winds and dry air will combine for very high fire danger. Any fire that ignites will likely spread very quickly.
