A 4-year-old was seriously injured in a crash Saturday in Daviess County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 29-year-old Andrew G. Adkison of Jameson was driving a Chevrolet S-10 east on Route P about two miles east of Jameson at 6:25 p.m. The vehicle traveled off the north side of the road and overturned, coming to rest on the driver’s side. A 4-year-old passenger who, according to the crash report, was not secured in a child restraint, was transported by Daviess County EMS to Children’s Mercy for treatment of serious injuries. Adkison was transported to Harrison County Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.
According to online court documents, Adkison is charged with DWI, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash and failure to secure a child in a child restraint.
