ST. JOSEPH –Griffon baseball (19-18) split a doubleheader with Lindenwood (18-19). The Lions won game one 11-3 and the Griffons took game two 7-4. Missouri Western’s win snapped a four-game losing skid.
Dusty Stroup slammed two home runs in the first game and drove in all three runs for MWSU. Extra base hits led the Griffons to the game two victory. Levi Schreiner, Dusty Stroup and Casey Danley all recorded triples and Will Jibas added a double. Missouri Western outhit Lindenwood 13-9 in the second game. Nate Hunter tossed a complete game and gave up three earned runs for his seventh win of the season.
