HICKORY COUNTY – One person died in an accident just after 6:30a.m. Saturday in Hickory County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Nissan Frontier driven by  Charlollette G. Shelton, 76, Hermitage, was westbound on MO. 254 just west of Galmey.

The truck ran off the right side of the road, became airborne, struck a tree and ejected the driver.

Shelton was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
