Temps in the 70s today with chance of rain overnight

Above normal temperatures will continue today before a cold front brings increasing rain chances later tonight and Wednesday. Another shot of light rain will be possible late Thursday afternoon and evening as another cold front sweeps across the region. Temperatures will then begin to rebound for the upcoming weekend as low to mid 70s are expected both Saturday and Sunday. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Increasing clouds, with a high near 75. North wind 3 to 8 mph.

Tonight: A chance of showers, mainly after 4 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. North northwest wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Wednesday: A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 61. North northeast wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 41. North wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Thursday: A slight chance of showers after 1 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. Light west wind becoming west southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 65.

Friday Night: Clear, with a low around 42.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 72.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 50.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 76.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Breezy.
