Rain likely through the afternoon with temps in the 50s

A weak weather disturbance will bring a chance for rain to the region today with below normal temperatures. Another chance for light rain will occur on Thursday before drier weather and warmer temperatures return for the weekend. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Showers, mainly before 4 p.m. High near 55. North wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 40. West northwest wind 3 to 7 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. Light west northwest wind becoming northwest 8 to 13 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 40. North northwest wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 67. North northwest wind 7 to 9 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 43.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 71.

Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 49.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 76.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 58.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Breezy.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. Breezy.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 78. Breezy.
