It will definitely feel like Spring out there this week, but that also means we have to watch out for Spring thunderstorms. Today it will be warm and windy ahead of a cold front that will shift into the western Plains today. This will help set the stage for moisture return, which will help fuel thunderstorms across the Plains States Tuesday through Thursday as the frontal boundary slowly marches east. Tuesday evening storms will be focused from eastern Nebraska into Iowa, but may drag themselves across parts of far northern Missouri that night. However, by Wednesday afternoon and evening the focus for storms will have shifted a bit south and east into eastern Kansas and Missouri, with lingering thunderstorm activity possible through the day time and overnight hours of Thursday.
