MARION COUNTY –  A Missouri man died in an accident just after 1a.m. Friday in Marion County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a southbound semi hit Jeffrey W. Hutcherson, 43, Bethel, as he ran northbound onto U.S. 61 north of County Road 57 five miles north of Hannibal.

Hutcherson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The semi driver Alan R. Wilson, 63, Miami, Missouri, was not injured.

Authorities released no additional details.
