Sunny with temps in the 80s today

The above normal temperatures will continue today and through the rest of the week. Highs today will be in the low to mid 80s with temperatures rising into the mid to upper 80s Thursday and Friday. A few rounds of storms will be possible Thursday night to Friday morning and again Friday night into Saturday morning. The round of storms Friday night does have the potential to produce severe weather and will need to be monitored. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service: 

Today: Sunny, with a high near 83. West northwest wind 6 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 61. Northwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. South wind 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers after 1 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 65. South wind 9 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Friday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. South southwest wind 10 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday Night: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 86.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 77.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60.

Monday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
