PLATTE COUNTY — One person died in an accident just after 2p.m. Sunday in Platte County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Hyundai driven by Tiffany L. Davis, 35, Kansas City, MO., was southbound on Missouri 9 just past Riss Lake Drive.

The vehicle crossed into the path and struck the front of a northbound 1998 Buick driven by Larry G. Kelly, 75, Kansas City, Kansas.

Kelly was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Davis and a passenger in the Hyundai Tianna Bauder, 15, Kansas City, were transported to North Kansas City Hospital.

The occupants of the Hyundai were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
