POLK COUNTY  — A Missouri woman died in an accident just after 5p.m. Friday in Polk County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Ford Explorer driven by Connie L. Willcockson, 56, Clinton, was southbound on Highway 13 five miles north of Bolivar.

The SUV traveled off the left side of the road into the median. The SUV returned to the road, traveled off the right side of the road and struck an embankment.

Willcockson was transported to the hospital in Springfield where she died.  She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
