Heat will be the main story for the weekend with highs in the upper 80s to around 90 today rising into the low to mid 90s on Saturday and Sunday. Heat index values will be in the low to mid 90s today before rising into the mid 90s to around 100 on Saturday and Sunday. Storms will also be possible through the weekend. A few strong storms will be possible today mainly across northern Missouri however, storms on Saturday will have the potential to be strong with isolated severe storms possible as well. Saturday: A slight chance of showers after 1 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 94. Heat index values as high as 99. South wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
