KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – One woman is dead and another is hospitalized after a shooting at a home in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Kansas City Star reports that police responded to a disturbance Sunday night and saw a man walking away from the house. They stopped the man. Officers then found an injured woman on the front porch and a second injured woman inside the house.

Both women were taken to a hospital. The woman who was on the porch died.

The man has been detained but formal charges have not been filed.
