Isolated storms are still possible this morning across central and north-central MO. The main concern with these storms is hail up to 1 inch. This activity should diminish/move out of the area in the late morning hours. The warm temperatures are the main story for the day though as many places should meet or exceed a heat index of 110 degrees. This has prompted an excessive heat warning for the KC metro and surrounding areas and a heat advisory for far northern MO and northeastern MO until Saturday evening. Remember to avoid spending too much time outdoors and to drink plenty of water.
