MONITEAU COUNTY— One person died in an accident just before 9:30p.m. Thursday in Moniteau County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Ford Fusion driven by Michael W. Campbell, 49,  Russellville, was southbound on Morris Road just north of Corticelli Road.

The vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, returned to the road, traveled off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

Campbell was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Windmill Ridge Funeral Home in California, MO. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
