(UPDATE – 9:09 a.m., July 16, 2018) According to Doniphan County Emergency Management Coordinator Julie Meng, the burn ban for Doniphan County, Kansas, has been lifted.

Meng asks residents to use caution when burning.

Doniphan County was placed under a burn ban on Wednesday, July 11, due to the extreme dry conditions and heat.

A burn ban issued July 9th in Livingston County is also still in effect until further notice.
