Missouri woman dies after ejected when Jeep overturns

LACLEDE COUNTY — One person died in an accident just after 4p.m. Tuesday in Laclede County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Jeep Cherokee driven by Jessica M. Hobbs, 38, Lebanon, was eastbound on Highway 64 three miles west of Lebanon.

The Jeep traveled off the right side of the road, returned to the road and crossed the center line. The driver overcorrected and the Jeep traveled off the right side of the road again, hit a utility pole overturned and ejected the driver.

Hobbs was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
