Chance of rain and storms today with temps in the 80s

Storm chances end later today, then warm, dry conditions will prevail through the rest of the week and into the weekend. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m. High near 84. Light and variable wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 65. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming north northwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 65. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 93. Light southwest wind.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 67.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 91.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 66.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 90.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 66.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 88.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 65.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 89.
