BARRY COUNTY— One person died in an accident just before 10p.m. Saturday in Barry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle driven by Cody R. Blakenship, 34, Shell Knob, was eastbound on Highway 76 five miles east of Cassville.

The driver lost control of the motorcycle in a corner, according to the MSHP. The driver was ejected when the motorcycle overturned.

Blakenship was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Fohn Funeral Home.
